We are delighted to share that the International Society for Organoid Research (ISoOR) has been formally approved as a Stakeholder Member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC).
This recognition marks an important milestone for ISoOR and the global organoid community.
Why this achievement matters:
Global recognition: ILAC brings together accreditation bodies worldwide, and our membership ensures organoid standards are represented at the highest international level.
Strengthening trust: ISoOR’s voice within ILAC will help align organoid biobanking practices with internationally recognized quality and accreditation frameworks.
Advancing the field: This step amplifies the impact of organoid research by ensuring that quality, reproducibility, and ethical standards are globally benchmarked.
Impact on the ISoOR-International Standard for Organoid Biobanks
With this membership, the ISoOR-International Standard for Organoid Biobanks gains greater visibility and credibility in global accreditation discussions. This will facilitate broader adoption of harmonized practices across continents, paving the way for truly interoperable and trusted organoid biobanking at a global scale.
We thank ILAC for this opportunity and look forward to working collaboratively to strengthen standards and ensure organoid research continues to drive biomedical innovation responsibly and effectively.
