ISoOR–International Standards for Organoid Biobanking (ISoOR-ISOB) is the world’s first international standard dedicated to organoid biobanking. Developed over a rigorous two-year process, the standard establishes a comprehensive and harmonized framework covering all critical aspects of organoid biobank operations, including sample collection, processing, storage, data management, and quality control. By defining standardized protocols across the full workflow, ISoOR-ISOB ensures consistency, reliability, and reproducibility in organoid-based research and applications.
The standard was developed through a structured international consensus process involving multidisciplinary experts, ensuring balanced technical input and alignment with emerging scientific and operational best practices.
