ISoOR at the 2025 China’s International Digital Intelligence Medical Industry High-Quality Talent Development Conference

We are honored to have represented ISoOR (International Society for Organoid Research) at the 2025 China’s International Digital Intelligence Medical Industry High-Quality Talent Development Conference, held in Chongqing, China.

Dr. Maldonado delivered a keynote speech highlighting ISoOR’s global initiatives and our continued commitment to advancing excellence in organoid research and biobanking.

We were also deeply honored by the presence of Mr. Ferenc Krausz, 2023 Nobel Laureate in Physics, and Prof. Peter Lobie, Chairman of ISoOR, whose participation underscored the spirit of innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration that defines this landmark event.

Key highlights from ISoOR’s participation:

• Showcasing the ISoOR International Standard for Organoid Biobanking — ISoOR provided an in-depth overview of the Standard, emphasizing its role in establishing internationally harmonized principles for quality, traceability, and reproducibility in organoid biobanking.

• Advancing Toward Accreditation Leadership — ISoOR is establishing its role as an Accreditation Body for Organoid Biobanks, laying the groundwork for internationally recognized certification and compliance standards.

• Expansion of the ISoOR-ISOB (International Standard for Organoid Biobanking) — we were pleased to announce the inclusion of a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP): “Development of NUT Carcinoma Organoids.”

This SOP was developed collaboratively by the

• Clinical Research Center (CRC),

• Medical Pathology Center (MPC),

• Cancer Early Detection and Treatment Center (CETDC)

• Translational Medicine Research Center (TMRC) at Chongqing University Three Gorges Hospital, under the leadership of Prof. Mingzhu Yin, Vice President of the China Food and Drug Corporation Quality and Safety Promotion Association and principal organizer of the 2025 China’s International Digital Intelligence Medical Industry High-Quality Talent Development Conference.
